GalexC Corporate Conservation, Inc., specializes in reducing annual utility consumption through tested and proven technologies. Our detailed audit process allows us to identify the most cost effective and energy efficient technologies across an extremely wide range of applications for each client.
Determining the optimal technology for a specific situation requires a thorough and unbiased evaluation of the problems and potential solutions. That is the core focus of our company, as shown through our mission statement...
To assist our clients in reaching their conservation goals while maintaining high ethical standards and exceptional customer service, to be a trusted advisor through continually focusing on their best interests.
Our company was founded to provide a niche in the conservation industry. Our focus lands in between the specialists (lighting/controls contractors, water conservation specialists, etc.) and the Esco’s (Energy Services Company) that provide a wider range of technologies but focus on larger, more complex projects that often include long-term contracts with extensive terms and conditions. GalexC takes the approach of an “ala carte” or “customer friendly” conservation company with an extremely wide range of technologies and expertise. However, while we provide comprehensive audits and offer a wide range of technologies, we are also flexible to the timeline and budget of a customer. By starting basic, generally with one of our smaller and simpler technologies, our clients are able to gain trust in our ability to implement and deliver results, without exposing themselves to a large, high profile project until our credibility with them has been established.
The conservation industry can be difficult to navigate from a customers’ perspective, as the various methods of measurement and verification for different technologies can make it difficult to figure out which will actually deliver the promised results. This can result in the implementation of projects that do not deliver those promises, leaving customers frustrated and skeptical of the “next great technology”. This is the driving factor behind our due diligence process.
In order to achieve our goal of becoming a “trusted advisor” for each of our clients, each of our technologies and engineering specialists must deliver its’ promised results. We simply will not promote a technology or specialist that does not have a track record of success. In order to insure that this is the case, GalexC has a strict due diligence policy for any technology or specialist. This process includes talking directly to their past clients, as well as reviewing their M&V process and results. Not only is it critical that estimated savings and performance are achieved, but the results must have been achieved without creating additional burden to the site operations and maintenance. In fact, many of our approved technologies provide additional benefits such as reduced and/or preventative maintenance benefits in addition to reducing energy or water consumption. The due diligence process is one of the most critical pieces of our businesses.
For vendors looking to promote new technologies to the Southern California market, we assist them by working through our relationships with local utility programs that perform extensive studies on new technologies. The utility studies will validate (or disprove) their claims for energy efficiency, payback, and reliability through a detailed, third-party engineering evaluation of the technology. These program often pay for most or all of the technology and the M&V process. They can be a huge boost to a companies’ credibility in entering a new market, provided their technology proves its’ claims. Obviously, it also provides GalexC with an outstanding source for finding and proving new technologies prior to promoting them to our clients.
