Building Envelope

As part of a comprehensive program, looking at the building envelope is an important factor in overall corporate conservation.  Evidence in this is the fact that it is one of the three main components of the EPAct tax deductions (see “Incentives & Tax Deductions”).  Facilities are able to deduct up to $.60/sq ft for energy efficiency improvements to their building envelope, so investing in these technologies should be an important piece of an organizations overall conservation plan.
